Moorings, storage and craneage
Our two boatyards offer a wide range of mooring and storage opportunities. On land, we have 4 acres of hard standing available, with some covered space if required. All areas have access to power and water, and facilities include crane lifting for vessels up to 20 tons. A selection of heavy, yard trailers are on hand, along with slipways for dinghy launching. Secure containers are available for storage ashore, and we have a choice of cradles and chocks to hire.
On the water, we have over 150 moorings in total, with options ranging from swinging moorings to fore-and-aft setups. Some moorings are deep, while others are drying, offering flexibility depending on vessel type and preference. The site also benefits from pontoons and jetties, as well as opportunities for those who wish to dry sail. Visitor moorings are also available at Waldringfield.
Woodbridge and Waldringfield
From the sheltered waters and town convenience of the upper reaches of the tidal Deben to the all-tide expanses of Waldringfield and beyond, we have a wide range of moorings to suit a wide range of boats, their owners and uses.
With such a broad menu of options, our price list can appear a little overwhelming at first; we encourage new customers to contact our office where we will be able to help you find the best option for you.
Woodbridge
With the convenience of Woodbridge railway station on our doorstep, fantastic shops, pubs and restaurants, and regular titles of ‘Best’ and ‘Happiest’ place to live from The Sunday Times and Rightmove, Woodbridge has a lot going for it.
With the tide making way for mud-flats and wading birds twice a day, boating is tidally-determined for all moorings in Woodbridge but once one accepts that that is a part of the charm, rather than a limitation, a Woodbridge mooring becomes increasingly appealing.
Our moorings stretch all the way from the wreck of the ‘Lady Alice Kenlis’ near Sutton Hoo to just above Loder’s Cut and range from swinging, drying (approximately half-tide) buoys to fore-and-aft channel moorings.
Alongside the boatyard, we have pontoon and jetty moorings for tenders, dinghies, small boats and small yachts.
Charged per foot per week, our Woodbridge’s facilities offer flexibility and an affordable way to enjoy the river.
Waldringfield
Whilst our hardstanding in Waldringfield is bijoux in comparison with Woodbridge, our 54 all-tide moorings and 20 boat jetty offer fantastic access to the river. Dry sail options also available.
With a 20t craning capacity, our Waldringfield yard may be small but it is mighty and often our yard of choice for the bigger boats for mooring, storing and workshop facilities.

Visitor Mooring Guidelines
Mooring use
Mooring buoys are intended for overnight stays and a reasonable time the following day. As boats often arrive and depart with the tide, please be courteous if another vessel is already on your allocated buoy—have a quick word with your fellow sailors as they may be arriving or departing.Dinghies provided
Each mooring is equipped with a 10 ft fibreglass rowing dinghy, complete with rowlocks, oars, and a bailer, for transport to and from the beach. Please secure dinghies using the chains provided and avoid the swimming area and mud flats near the pub when going ashore.Communications
